I don’t know what is going on with all this murder & mayhem in music. Part of me thinks that it’s survival tactics for folks who feel like they have no other way in this recession, the other part of me feels greed & jealousy still rears its ugly head.

HOT BOY$ MEMBER TURK’S BROTHER MURDERED

Former Hot Boys member Turk who has been on lock down for 6 years & is currently serving a twelve-year sentence for a massive array of charges after shooting a Tennessee police officer in 2004.

In case you forgot, Turk was later convicted in 2005 on Federal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a fugitive from justice in possession of a firearm, and an unlawful user addicted to a controlled substance in possession of a firearm.

Turk is now calling on his fans for support after his younger brother was gunned down in New Orleans.

Ronald Smith, the rappers brother, was found by police after a pedestrian noticed a body that had been shot several times, lying on the ground behind a Daiquiri shop. It’s eerie how this murder resembles an episode of A&E’s “First 48.”

Turk says. “My little brother and I were as close as brothers can be and it hurts me to lose him at such a young age, but as a man I must be strong. I have been in jail now for over 6 years and there's not much I can do. My mother is mourning over the loss of her youngest child and over the fact that there is no insurance or funds to arrange the proper burial.”

Word is there is a suspect in custody, 19-year-old Travis Dennis, who has already admitted to the shooting.

Turk is also pleading; “Any donations can be sent to me at the Shelby County Jail by Western Union and for those who know me personally funds can be given directly to my mother Ms. Pamela Smith.”

RAPPER J-KWON MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED

ST Louis rapper J-Kwon, known for his joint “Everybody In The Club Get Tipsy,” has been missing for more than a month.

According to his label Gracie Productions CEO/President Tony Bucher, J-Kwon (government name Jarrell Jones), has completely dropped off the face of the earth.

Here is the label’s official statement:

“J-Kwon is a big part of the Gracie family, and we are obviously increasingly worried and want to make sure he is ok. We’ve already received thousands of emails from fans and supporters who are worried about J-Kwon, and we want everyone to know how much we appreciate the love and support.

If anyone has seen J-Kwon or has access to him, please let him know we are worried about him, and to please let us know everything is ok.”

In all seriousness, word on the street is that J-Kwon may have gotten into some grimy business. Let’s hope it doesn’t turn out to be like DMX, “You know who’s gonna find you, some old man fishing.”

WYCLEF’S WIFE FINDS NUDE PIX OF ANOTHER ON HIS CELL

Well, & just when Tiger Woods was taking all the heat for being married & scandalous, Wyclef Jean’s wife, Marie Claudinette, found a nude photo of his former manager on his cell phone. Wyclef, 37, and Marie Claudinette, a fashion designer, have been married since 1994.

I swear men are so careless, disrespectful & just straight messy Lisa Ellis, Wyclef’s now former manager, is no longer his manager. However, she states that her relationship with Wyclef has always been strictly professional. 



Lisa made it clear to state: “Photographer Mark Baptiste took a portrait of me in December 2008 for an art book,” she told the Daily News. “It was tastefully done. Someone leaked the photo. I don’t know who did it, but the photo had nothing to do with my resignation as Wyclef Jean’s manager.”

The art photo shows Ellis facing forward with her arms crossed over her privates. Ellis and Jean go back to her days as Executive VP of Sony Music Label Group and President of Sony Urban Music.

PUSSYCAT DOLLS SPLIT….EXCEPT NICOLE

Well, I don’t know how y’all feel but Nicole Scherzinger IS, the Pussycat Dolls. If you’ve ever seen them live, she is the star & they are her back up dancers. You know I have respect for dancers, but damn why be in a group if you’re gonna be bookends. But with that said, her solo career was a flop…go figure.

Anyhoo, the other members of the Pussycat Dolls (politically) going their separate ways, so Nicole and the group's founder, Robin Antin, have been left are pulling it together piece by piece.

With Nicole’s chummy relationship with Interscope Prez, Jimmy Iovine & her new gig on “Dancing With the Stars,” she will be just fine. The girl can “SANG” and is in the studio as we speak. The new Pussycat Dolls “situation” will be revealed soon. I’ll keep you posted.
