When he heard that he had been included in Sarah Palin’s interview special “Real American Stories,” LL Cool J fired off a tweet saying: “Fox News lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palin’s Show. WOW."
With those few, noncombative but illuminating words, LL Cool J put Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel in check -- exposing their lame effort to present Palin as someone who’s down with black folks, instead of who she really is: the deliberately divisive, rabble-rousing spokesperson for America’s angry white conservatives.

I guess they figured that if we saw a respected African-American hip hop star on her show we might forget her foulness. But black folks know who Sarah Palin is. We remember the 2008 Presidential campaign, when she rallied small town white folks by telling them that they are the “real” Americans. We know that Palin supported the “birther” movement with its racially-motivated questioning of President Obama’s U.S. citizenship. We know that she personally started the lie about “death panels” in President Obama's healthcare reform plan. We know that she is the darling -- perhaps the de facto leader -- of the Tea Partiers, those violence-threatening fanatics who have waved Confederate flags, depicted Pres. Obama as a Tarzan-style witch doctor and called our black Congressmen niggers.
Sarah Palin is no friend to African-Americans and when she tried to use LL Cool J for political gain she got caught in her own trap.
I'm Cameron Turner and that's my two cents.
