The thing I do to stand out from other Stylist in my area is that since I specialize in Healthy Hair I do not charge for Deep Conditioners, Hot Oil Treatment, or Protein Packs. I talk to the clients about how much water they are drinking, any scalp and hair issues that I may notice, medications and product knowledge. If this is your feild you need to know it and the client feels more comfortable knowing you know your stuff.

Think about supporting the community organizations that your clients care about. This helps in a number of ways. 1) Clients like to support businesses that are socially responsible. 2) if the support is thru an event, you can market your services to a large group of potential clients. It is money well spent.

My professionalism sets me apart from the rest in the salon where I work. I show up on time ready to work, and I get my client out in a timely manner. I specialize in healthy hair and professional weave techniques. I educate my clients about their hair , what types of conditioners work best and when their hair needs it the most. They know no stylist at the salon where i work can explain how chemicals effect the hair like me, I break that chemistry down so they can understand why relaxers color etc are for "professional use only". I go out of my way to find new clients and hand out flyers etc. I work hard and Im a go getter, thats what makes me stand out from the crowd. Im only at the beginning!
