When transitioning my clients. From Relaxed to natural Hair. I try to incorporate braided hair styles and extensions, as well as twisties. I try to have them to come in at least every two weeks for a deep condition, and trim. This way I can gradually cut the relaxed hair off with out giving them a drastic hair cut.
When I transition my clients, I will start with a chemical texturizer depending on how coarse the hair maybe. If the client has fine to medium hair I will do trims, deep conditioners, and hot oil treatments to insure the health of the hair. I also use a round brush, a ceramic blow dryer and flat iron for client that still love the look of relaxed hair without the chemicals.
Good to hear this kind of info. I don't run into a lot of men with perms but good to learn anyway.
