upon hearing of his untimely death I thought back to the first time I saw the Jackson five performed. it was at the old Chapelrell in Chicago, the year was 1968 yea I'm kinda up there. this was before Motown. they use to come to Chicago to perform at the talent shows. although in 1968 I was 7 year old I remember that talent show because one of my older sister was in it. I can see them loading up that station wagon after the show. You see Gary, IN is just 15 min. from Chicago so performing in Chicago was the big time back then. I remember the Jackson five on Soul Train (Not in LA) Don Cornelius started Soul Train in Chicago, and he would introduce them at locale talent shows. So yea I'm sad that he's gone, but the creator has other plans for him.
