Handle Your (entertainment) Business, Put Your Dreams First by Thembisa M'Shaka

Good Day UBC'ers
Have you ever wondered how that Hairstylist got to be so great or, what kind of connections this or that person had to get that spot that you so badly wanted but had not ventured to try out? Stop that kind of thinking right now!!! In the new book Handle Your (entertainment) Business , Put Your Dreams First by Thembisa M'Shaka addresses some of these comments and issues. Not to mention ...you do not have to sleep your way to the top! Get the inside scoop from some of the entertainment business' leading female movers, shakers and pioneers in the music and entertainment industry! Including yours truly (Chapter #1).

Thembisa took 3 years to track me down to get the inside track but, finally we were able to have an interview lunch, talk about the prospects of my involvement in her book and then came another one of my projects to delay the completion of her book! So sorry for that on really. I was the last person she interviewed before submitting the final manuscript and wound up being the one to head up the first chapter of the book! Imagine that...GOD always makes a way for HIS own, making the first the last and the last the first!

Okay, back to the topic, the main question you should ask yourself is why are you wanting to be in the game in the first place , what are your motives, how do you get to"IT" and, when you get "IT" how do you maintain "IT"? Who do you have to be,become or simply ARE. There's so much more to the story than meets the eye. This book I highly recommend for those who are already in it it or those who are being redirected from the salon to becoming a freelancer.

LUV to hear your thoughts, comments or viZions.

Best Wishes ViZionaires!

You have brought up some great topics we all need to focus into. Really knowing why, centering your passion is important.
Good Day UBC'ers and Hair Goddess in particular,
You said it Hair Goddess centering your passion is important because, if you should hit a speed bump or get blindsided on your career journey you will go back to the beginning...the real and main reason why you wanted to go on this journey in the first place.

Sometimes when you finally achieve what you believe is the"IT" you can loose sight of why you wanted "IT" in the first place! Know what I mean? ;-*

Best Wishes ViZionaire's,
